OSSSC Physical Education Teacher Recruitment 2024

Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 105 vacant posts.

• Pay Scale: ₹23,600 – ₹74,800 (Pay Level 6)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification (as of application closing date):

1. Essential Qualification:
   • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physical Education as an elective subject.
   • Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
   • Candidate must have passed Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET).
2. Language Proficiency:
   • Must have passed Odia as a language subject up to 10th standard or have equivalent proficiency.
3. Desirable Qualification:
   • Experience in coaching or training students in physical activities or sports.

Age Limit (as of the application closing date):

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/SEBC/Women: 5 years
  • PwD: 10 years

Selection Process:

1. Written Examination:
   • Objective-type questions covering the following areas:
     • General Knowledge
     • Sports Science and Physical Education
     • Pedagogy and Teaching Aptitude
2. Physical Efficiency Test:
   • Candidates may be required to demonstrate physical fitness and proficiency in various physical activities and sports.
3. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisted candidates will undergo a verification process to validate their eligibility and qualifications.
4. Merit List:
   • Final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the written exam and physical efficiency test.

1. Online Registration:
   • Visit the OSSSC official website: www.osssc.gov.in.
   • Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process if not done previously.
2. Fill Application Form:
   • Log in using OTR credentials and complete the PET application form.
3. Upload Documents:
   • Scanned copies of:
     • Passport-sized photograph and signature.
     • Educational certificates and marksheets.
     • Proof of age and category (if applicable).
     • Training pass certificate.
4. Fee Payment:
   • Application Fee is nil.
5. Final Submission:
   • Verify the application form and submit it. Save a copy for future reference.
