NARL is recruiting 19 Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work on advanced atmospheric and space research with a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000–₹42,000. Eligible candidates can apply online by January 24, 2025.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 19 vacant posts.

Fellowship Amount:

• ₹37,000 per month for the first two years.
• ₹42,000 per month from the third year onwards.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Post-Graduate Degree:
  • First Class or equivalent CGPA in Physics, Atmospheric Science, Space Physics, Meteorology, Applied Chemistry, Geophysics, Earth System Sciences, or equivalent, with core subjects in Physics, Atmospheric Science, or Space Physics.
  • OR First Class or equivalent CGPA in Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Additional Requirement: Qualified in CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JAM / JEST.

Age Limit:

• Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as of the last date of application).
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years

Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting:
   • Based on academic performance and eligibility criteria.
2. Interview:
   • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
   • Sleeper-class train fare will be reimbursed for candidates attending the interview.

   • Applications must be submitted through the NARL website: www.narl.gov.in.
   • Registration begins on January 4, 2025.
2. Required Documents:
   • Educational qualifications and mark sheets.
   • CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JAM / JEST qualification proof.
   • Recent passport-sized photograph.
   • Category certificate (if applicable).
3. Upload Instructions:
   • All documents must be uploaded in a single PDF file (not exceeding 2 MB).
