Vacancy & Pay Scale Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 7 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Must hold a Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign-going Ship issued by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Government of India.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a Foreign Certificate of Competency recognized by India must obtain the relevant endorsement from DG Shipping.
• Experience:
  • Minimum one year of post-qualification experience as Master or Chief Officer of a foreign-going ship.
• Age Limit:
  • General Category: Maximum 40 years.
  • Licensed Pilots: Maximum 50 years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: Up to 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 3 years.
  • Government/PSU Employees: Up to 5 years.
  • Other applicable relaxations as per government rules.
• Medical Fitness:
  • Must meet the medical fitness standards as prescribed by DG Shipping and Kamarajar Port Limited.
• Preference:
  • Candidates with current work experience in major ports will be given preference.
• Additional Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, decision-making abilities, and team collaboration are desirable traits.
• Nationality:
  • Must be an Indian National.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisting of Applications:
  • Applications will be reviewed to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age, and experience).
  • The Company reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on merit and eligibility parameters.
• Interview:
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
  • In case of a high response to the job posting, the Company may conduct a written test to further shortlist candidates.
• Medical Fitness:
  • Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination certified by the Company’s or DG Shipping’s authorized medical officers.
• Final Selection:
  • The final selection will be based on performance in the interview (and written test, if applicable) and verification of documents.
• Document Verification:
  • Candidates must provide original and self-attested copies of required documents, including:
    • Educational certificates.
    • Certificate of Competency and CDC.
    • Experience certificates.
    • Caste/EWS certificates (if applicable).
    • No Objection Certificate (for government/PSU employees).
• Bond Agreement:
  • Selected candidates must execute a bond agreement to serve for a minimum of three years after obtaining a pilot license. Failure to fulfill this obligation will require reimbursement of the cost of training and other expenses as determined by the Company.
