IIT Mandi is seeking applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the post of Assistant Registrar. The role involves handling administrative, legal, financial, and establishment matters, with the potential for advancement within the institution.

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale from a recognized University/Institute.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of service as Superintendent in Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- (PB-2) or equivalent post/pay.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Specialization in Management, Engineering, or Law.
• Experience in computerized administration, legal matters, stores, and purchase, financial, and establishment matters.
• Qualification as a Chartered or Cost Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Managing administrative operations in compliance with institutional policies.
• Overseeing legal, financial, and personnel matters.
• Liaising with external bodies and ensuring adherence to the governance structure of the Institute.
• Contributing to the development of strategic plans and processes.

General Terms:

1. Location: All positions are based at IIT Mandi’s Kamand campus, Himachal Pradesh.

2. Probation: Initial appointment will be on probation, which may be extended as per the institute’s norms.

3. Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in computer operations, including open-source software and fluency in English, is mandatory.

4. Application Fee:

• General and EWS categories: ₹1000/-
• OBC: ₹700/-
• SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen/Women: ₹500/- (exempt from application fee but processing fee applies).

5. Documents: Applicants must provide scanned copies of certificates supporting their qualifications, experience, date of birth, disability status, and category as applicable.
