IIT Mandi is seeking a dynamic and qualified individual for the position of Sports Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, organizing, and overseeing sports programs at the institute. This role demands leadership in sports management, fostering student involvement in athletics, and promoting fitness.

Level-10 as per 7th CPC

Age Limit:

Maximum 40 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and promote sports activities within the campus.
• Organize inter-college sports events, workshops, and fitness programs.
• Provide guidance and training to students participating in sports competitions.
• Maintain sports facilities and ensure the safety and security of equipment.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance sports education and training at IIT Mandi.
• Represent IIT Mandi in national-level sports events.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale) from a recognized university.

2. Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a PTI or in a similar capacity in government institutions or equivalent private organizations.
• Should have represented Inter-University or State/National level sports competitions.

3. Certifications:

• Qualified in a national-level test conducted by UGC or a similar body approved by UGC.
• Should have cleared the physical fitness test in accordance with UGC regulations.

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in managing sports facilities and organizing large-scale events.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of computer software such as Open Office or similar.

General Terms:

• Initial appointment will be on probation, and the tenure will be regularized upon successful completion of the probationary period.
• Candidates must submit scanned copies of their academic certificates, experience proof, and caste certificates (if applicable).
• Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government rules.
