Eligibility Criteria for RRC-NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2024-25
The North Western Railway (RRC-NWR) invites online applications for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria:
1. Age Criteria:
- Minimum Age: 15 years (as of 10.12.2024).
- Maximum Age: 24 years (as of 10.12.2024).
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to the extent of service rendered in defense plus 3 years, provided they have completed at least 6 months of continuous service.
2. Educational Qualifications:
- Must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or its equivalent under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- Must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
3. Medical Fitness:
- Candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate signed by a government-authorized doctor (Gazetted, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon).
- Standards include:
- Height: Minimum 137 cm.
- Weight: Minimum 25.4 kg.
- Chest Expansion: Minimum 3.8 cm.
- Visual Acuity: Specific requirements apply based on the trade.
- Hearing: Good hearing in both ears; no hearing aids allowed.
4. Reservation Categories:
- Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/EWS must produce valid certificates in the prescribed format.
- PwBD candidates are eligible for specific trades based on the nature of their disability (e.g., locomotor disability, visual impairment, etc.).
- Ex-servicemen must provide discharge certificates or relevant documents for children of ex-servicemen or armed forces personnel.
