Eligibility Criteria for HPSC Technical Lecturer Recruitment 2024

Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) invites applications for the position of Technical Lecturer in various technical subjects for the year 2024.

Posts Available

• Lecturer (Engineering and Technology): Various disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
• Lecturer (Non-Engineering): Includes fields like English, Mathematics, and Science-related subjects.

Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the recruitment:

1. General Eligibility:

Nationality

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries intending to settle permanently in India (requires a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India).

2. Age Limit (as of application closing date)

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 42 years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

3. Educational Qualifications (varies by post)

(a) Lecturer (Engineering & Technology disciplines):

• Essential:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with at least 55% marks.

(b) Lecturer (Non-Engineering disciplines):

• Essential:
  • Master’s degree in the relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, English) with at least 55% marks.
  • Candidates should also have passed the NET/SLET/SET examination (as applicable).

Note: Candidates with Ph.D. qualifications meeting UGC regulations are exempt from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
