Eligibility Criteria for PGCIL Trainee Recruitment 2024

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, is seeking bright and energetic individuals for the position of Diploma trainee (Electrical& Civil); Junior Officer Trainee (HR&F&A); Assistant Trainee (F&A). Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the recruitment:

1. Diploma Trainee (Electrical)

• Essential Qualification: Full-time regular three years Diploma in relevant engineering disciplines such as Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical).
• Minimum Marks:
  • General/OBC(NCL)/EWS: Minimum 70%.
  • SC/ST/PwBD: Pass marks.
• Higher Qualifications: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME or equivalent higher technical qualifications are not allowed.

2. Diploma Trainee (Civil)

• Essential Qualification: Full-time regular three years Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum Marks:
  • General/OBC(NCL)/EWS: Minimum 70%.
  • SC/ST/PwBD: Pass marks.
• Higher Qualifications: Same restrictions as Diploma Trainee (Electrical).

3. Junior Officer Trainee (HR)

• Essential Qualification: Three years full-time regular graduate degree in BBA/BBM/BBS or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute/university.
• Minimum Marks:
  • General/EWS/OBC(NCL): Minimum 60%.
  • SC/ST/PwBD: Pass marks.
• Higher Qualifications: Postgraduate degrees/diplomas or equivalent are not allowed.

4. Junior Officer Trainee (Finance & Accounts)

• Essential Qualification: Inter CA/Inter CMA.
• Higher Qualifications: Postgraduate degrees/diplomas/CA/CMA or equivalent are not allowed.

5. Assistant Trainee (Finance & Accounts)

• Essential Qualification: B.Com. with minimum 60% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS and pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD.
• Higher Qualifications: Postgraduate degrees/diplomas/CA/CMA or equivalent are not allowed.

General Requirements:

• Age Limit: 27 years as of November 12, 2024. Relaxations as per government norms:
  • OBC(NCL): +3 years.
  • SC/ST: +5 years.
  • PwBD: +10 years.
• Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible.
• Health Standards: Candidates must meet POWERGRID’s health standards.
