Eligibility Criteria for Navy Apprentice Recruitment 2024
The Ministry of Defence (Navy) invites applications for the enrollment of Designated Trade Apprentices (2025–26 Batch) at the Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam. Below are the eligibility requirements for the available vacancies:
1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have the following:
- Matriculation/SSC (10th Standard) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- ITI Certificate in relevant trade with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institution.
- ITI certificates without marks/grades/percentage will not be accepted.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 14 years (18 years for hazardous occupations).
- Date of Birth: Candidates born on or before May 2, 2011, are eligible.
- There is no upper age limit for apprenticeship training.
3. Physical Standards
- Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards outlined in Rule 4 of ‘The Apprenticeship Rules 1992’.
4. Reserved Categories
Reservations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Government of India rules.
- PwD candidates: Minimum 40% disability with a valid certificate from a government medical board.
- Ex-Servicemen and their children: Relevant service and release certificates are required.
