The Ministry of Defence (Navy) invites applications from ITI-qualified Indian nationals for Apprentice Training at the Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam. Join us for a one-year apprenticeship program in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Stipend:

• ₹7,700 per month (1-year ITI certificate holders)
• ₹8,050 per month (2-year ITI certificate holders)

Location:

The location of the job is Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam – 530 014, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. SSC/ Matric/ Std X: Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
2. ITI (NCVT/ SCVT): Minimum 65% aggregate marks.

Age Criteria:

• Minimum age: 14 years.
• For hazardous trades: Minimum 18 years.
• Candidates born on or before May 2, 2011, are eligible.

Physical Standards:

Meet the minimum fitness standards as specified in Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.

Other Requirements:

• Must not have completed or currently be pursuing apprenticeship training in the same trade elsewhere.
• Aadhaar card details must match SSC/Matric certificate.

Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting: Based on SSC and ITI marks (70:30 ratio).
2. Written Exam: 75 multiple-choice questions in Mathematics, General Science, and General Knowledge (OMR-based, no negative marking).
3. Interview: Includes document verification and a technical oral test.
4. Medical Examination: To assess physical fitness.
