​The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 40 vacancies for the posts of Scientist-B, scientific officer, professor, and other positions under the UPSC Recruitment 2025 notification. Eligible candidates can apply online for the UPSC Scientist & Other vacancy from April 26, 2025, to May 15, 2025.

UPSC Scientist & Other Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 40 vacant posts under the UPSC Recruitment 2025 Notification for the following categories:

UPSC Scientist-B, Senior Veterinary Officer & Other Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the UPSC Scientist, Senior Veterinary Officer & Other Vacancy 2025, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

• Scientist-B: Master’s Degree in Physics/Botany/Forensic Science or relevant field as per post.
• Scientific Officer: Master’s Degree in Physics OR Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Professor (Sugar Technology): Degree in Science or Engineering + Associateship/Postgraduate Diploma in Sugar Technology
• Lecturer (Sugar Engineering): Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR AMIE (Mechanical/Electrical) + Associateship/Postgraduate Diploma in Sugar Engineering
• Technical Officer (Forestry) Grade II: Master’s Degree in Statistics/Operations Research/Forestry or 2-year PG Diploma in Forestry Management
• Training Officer (Welder): Bachelor’s in Vocation/Mechanical/Production Engineering or relevant qualification.
• Senior Veterinary Officer: Recognized veterinary qualification & registered with the State/Indian Veterinary Council.

Age Limit: Varies post-wise (30–50 years).

UPSC Scientist & Other Selection Process:

• Shortlisting based on academic qualifications and experience.

• Recruitment Test (if necessary) + Interview.

• Final selection is based on performance in the interview (and test, if held).

UPSC Scientist & Other Application Form 2025 Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS Male: Rs. 25/-

• SC/ST/PwBD/Women: No fee
