Educational Qualification
- For Indian Economic Service (IES): A postgraduate degree in economics, applied economics, business economics, or econometrics from a recognized university.
- For Indian Statistical Service (ISS): A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects OR a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics.
Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen, ECOs/SSCOs: 5 years
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the physical fitness requirements as per Appendix III of the official UPSC notification.
UPSC IES/ISS Examination 2025 Selection Process:
The selection process for the UPSC IES/ISS Examination 2025 includes two stages:
1. Written Examination (1000 Marks)
2. Interview / Personality Test (200 Marks)
- Candidates who qualify for the written examination are called for an interview/personality test.
- The interview assesses academic knowledge, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and leadership qualities.
