The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the position of Assistant Commandant (AC) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This is a prestigious opportunity to serve in India’s paramilitary forces, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of three stages:

1. Written Examination:
   • Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type) – 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
   • Paper 2: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination
3. Interview/Personality Test

Exam Pattern:

Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence

• Duration: 2 hours
• Type: Objective
• Negative Marking: 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer

Paper 2: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension

• Duration: 3 hours
• Type: Descriptive

Application Process:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the UPSC official website upsc.gov.in.
2. Registration: Click on the link for the CAPF AC 2024 application and complete the registration process by providing basic details.
3. Fill Application Form: Log in with your credentials and fill out the detailed application form with personal, educational, and other required information.
4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other required documents as per the specifications.
5. Pay Application Fee: Proceed to pay the application fee through the available online payment methods.
6. Submit Application: Review the filled application form and submit it. Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹200
• SC/ST/Female Candidates: Exempted (No Fee)

Payment Methods

• Online: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking
• Offline: Pay by cash at any branch of SBI by generating the Pay-in-slip during the part II registration.
