UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the prestigious Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025. This examination is a gateway to a rewarding career in various engineering disciplines within the Government of India. As an Engineering Services Officer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and management of projects that are vital to the nation’s infrastructure and development.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality:

• Citizen of India
• Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
• Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

2. Age Limit:

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 30 years as of 1st January 2025
• Age relaxation as per government norms

3. Educational Qualification:

• Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent
• Candidates appearing in their final year of engineering are also eligible to apply

Application Process:

1. Registration:

• Candidates must register on the UPSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) platform available on the UPSC website.

2. Application Submission:

• After registration, candidates need to fill out the online application form for the ESE 2025 examination.

3. Application Fee:

• General/OBC: ₹200
• SC/ST/PwBD/Female: Exempted

4. Important Dates:

• Start Date for Online Application: 18th September 2024
• Last Date for Online Application: 10th October 2024

Selection Process:

1. Preliminary Examination:

• Objective type questions
• Total marks: 500

2. Main Examination:

• Conventional type questions
• Total marks: 600

3. Personality Test:

• Interview
• Total marks: 200
