UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination 2025 Vacancy & Pay Scale Details:
Applications are invited for a total of 705 vacant posts in the UPSC CMS Notification 2025 under the following categories:
- Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service—226Â
- Assistant Divisional Medical Officer (ADMO) in the Railways—450Â
- General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) in New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) – 09Â
- General Duty Medical Officer Grade-II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) – 20
Pay Scale: ₹56,100–₹177,500 per month (Level 10 of Pay Matrix) + NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance)
UPSC CMS Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
The below information provides details about the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2025 age limit and other eligibility criteria:
1. Nationality:
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit:
- Maximum Age: 32 years as of 1st August 2025 (born on or after 2nd August 1993).
- Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen, Defense Personnel, etc.: As per government norms
3. Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have passed the final M.B.B.S. examination, including written and practical parts.
- Compulsory Internship: Candidates yet to complete their internship may apply, but they must complete the internship before appointment.
4. Physical & Medical Standards:
Candidates must be physically and medically fit as per UPSC CMS 2025 Medical Standards.
UPSC CMS Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:
The selection process for the UPSC CMS 2025 vacancy notification consists of two stages:
1. Written Examination (500 Marks)
- Paper I (250 Marks) – General Medicine & Pediatrics
- Paper II (250 Marks) – Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine
Exam Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Personality Test (100 Marks)
Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the personality test/interview, which carries 100 marks.Â
UPSC CMS Online Form 2025 Application Fee:
- ₹200/- for General/OBC candidates.
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/female candidates.
- Payment via online banking, debit/credit card, or SBI e-challan.
