The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2023. This prestigious role is open to dedicated and experienced Inspectors of Police currently serving in the CBI.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Service: Candidates must be serving as Inspectors of Police in CBI.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of regular service in the grade.
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation as per government rules.

How to Apply:

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register on the UPSC online application portal.
  2. Filling the Application Form: Complete the online application form with accurate details.
  3. Submission of Hard Copy: After online submission, send the hard copy of the application form to CBI HO, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003 for verification and onward transmission to the Commission.

Selection Process:

  • Written Examination: Consists of General Aptitude Test, English, and Criminal Law.
  • Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview.

Important Instructions:

  • Admit Card: Will be available for download from March 8, 2024.
  • Mobile Phones Banned: Use of mobile phones or any electronic devices is strictly prohibited during the examination.
  • Representation Portal: Candidates can make representations on the questions asked in the examination through the Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep).
