The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the CAPF (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2025 to fill 357 vacancies across various forces, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB. The UPSC CAPF Notification 2025 was released on 5 March 2025, and the online application process will be open from 5 March 2025 to 25 March 2025.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 357 vacant posts under the UPSC CAPF Notification 2025 for the following categories:

• Border Security Force (BSF): 24 
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 204 
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 92 
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 4 
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 33

UPSC CAPF 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam 2025, candidates must possess the following:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
• Candidates in their final year can apply but must provide proof of passing before the final selection.

Age Limit: 20 to 25 years as of August 1, 2025 (born between August 2, 2000, and August 1, 2005).

• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen & Govt. Employees: 5 years

Desirable Qualification: NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate (Preference during the interview).

UPSC CAPF 2025 Selection Process:

The UPSC CAPF (AC) Examination 2025 consists of four stages:

1. Written Examination (August 3, 2025)

• Paper 1 (General Ability & Intelligence): 250 Marks 
• Paper 2 (General Studies, Essay & Comprehension): 200 Marks 

2. Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates qualifying in the written exam will undergo the following tests:

• Candidates who qualify PST/PET undergo a 150-mark interview by UPSC.

4. Final Merit List

• Based on written exam + interview performance.

UPSC CAPF Application Form 2025 Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹200
• SC/ST/Female Candidates: No Fee
