The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the UGC NET June 2025 notification for the posts of Assistant Professor and the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Eligible candidates can apply online from April 16, 2025, to May 07, 2025. The UGC NET June Exam will be held online from June 21 to June 30, 2025.

UGC NET June 2025 Overview:

NTA UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the UGC NET 2025, candidates should possess the following:

Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third gender).

• Final-year postgraduates can also apply.

Age Limit

• JRF: Not more than 30 years as of June 1, 2025 (relaxation applicable for reserved categories).

• Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.

UGC NET June 2025 Exam Subjects Covered:

NTA UGC NET covers 85 subjects, including:

• English

• Commerce

• Management

• Political Science

• Education

• Computer Science

• Environmental Science

UGC NET 2025 Exam Pattern:

• Mode: Online (CBT)
• Papers: Two (Paper I & II)
• Total Questions: 150
• Duration: 3 Hours (No break between papers)
• Marking Scheme: +2 marks for each correct answer, no negative marking
