Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the notification for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 for Class 6 admissions in the academic session 2026–27. The JNVST 2026 Notification was released on 30 May 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online from 30 May 2025 to 29 July 2025. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2026 will be held on 13th December 2025.

JNVST 2026 Admission Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026, candidates should possess the following:

• Class: Studying in Class V during 2025–26

• Age Limit: Born between 01-05-2014 and 31-07-2016 (both dates inclusive)

• Residency: Bonafide residents of the same district where JNV is located

• Must study Class III to V in a Government/govt.-aided/recognized school

• The candidate must not have appeared in JNVST previously

• Aadhaar card or proof of enrollment is mandatory

JNVST 2026 Exam Pattern:

Below is the detailed exam pattern for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Exam 2026:

• Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)
• Type: Objective MCQs
• Total Questions: 80
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours (+40 mins for Divyang students)
• No negative marking
