The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has released a notification for the recruitment of assistant professors in super specialties across 11 government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview for 146 vacant posts on 24 March 2025.

APMSRB Assistant Professor Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 146 vacant posts under the APMSRB Recruitment Notification 2025 across various superspecialties, like cardiology, endocrinology, neonatology, and others.

APMSRB Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in the concerned Super Specialty from an institution recognized by the MCI/NMC.

Age Limit 

• General (OC) Candidates: Maximum 42 years
• EWS/SC/ST/BC Candidates: Maximum 47 years
• Differently Abled Candidates: Maximum 52 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Maximum 50 years

Domicile Requirements

• Only local candidates from Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply.
• Non-local candidates are NOT eligible.

APMSRB Assistant Professor Selection Process:

1. For Direct Recruitment (DR)

Selection is based on merit and follows the Rule of Reservation.

2. For Lateral Entry (LE)

• Based on the initial rank assigned at the time of appointment as a Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) or Assistant Professor.
• Merit List & Rule of Reservation applicable.
