The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has officially released the GSSSB Recruitment 2025 Notification for Ophthalmic Assistant and Fisheries Officer posts under a Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Eligible candidates can apply online for 20 vacancies (Ophthalmic Assistant—14, Fisheries Officer—6) from 1 April 2025 to 25 April 2025.

GSSSB Fisheries Officer & Other Vacancy 2025:

Applications are invited for a total of 20 vacant posts under the GSSSB Recruitment Notification 2025 for the following categories:

GSSSB Fisheries Officer & Ophthalmic Assistant Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Ophthalmic Assistant:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry from a recognized university OR
• Diploma in Ophthalmic Science/Technology/Optometry with 2 years of experience in an Eye Hospital (government-recognized or private).

Fisheries Officer:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science/Zoology/Microbiology from a recognized university.

Other Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Must have knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.

Age Limit (As of 25 April 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years

GSSSB Fisheries Officer & Ophthalmic Assistant Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on:

1. Written Examination

• Mode: Offline (OMR-Based)
• Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

2. Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates must present their original certificates for verification.

GSSSB Recruitment 2025 Application Fee:

General Candidates: ₹400 (Refundable upon appearing for the exam)
PWD Candidates: No Fee
