Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has announced 160 vacancies for the Senior Resident & Other posts under the PGIMER Recruitment 2025 notification. Applications are invited for a total of 160 vacant posts under the PGIMER Recruitment Notification 2025 for the following categories:

A. PGIMER, Chandigarh

• Senior Residents: 131 Posts (Various Departments)

• Senior Medical Officer: 01 Post

• Junior/Senior Demonstrators: 14 Posts (Medical & Non-Medical)

B. PGI Satellite Centre, Sangrur

• Senior Residents: 12 Posts

• Senior Medical Officers: 02 Posts

PGIMER Senior Resident & Other Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the PGIMER Senior Resident & Other Vacancy 2025, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Senior Residents

• MBBS with MD/MS in a relevant specialty from an MCI-recognized institution.

• Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years

Senior Medical Officer:

• MD/MS in Medicine or Surgery

Junior/Senior Demonstrator (Medical):

• MBBS or MD/MS in the relevant subject

• Valid medical registration required

Junior/Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical):

• M.Sc. with PhD in the concerned subject

PGIMER Senior Resident & Other Selection Process:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
   • Date: 26 May 2025
   • 50 MCQs (1.5 marks each), 75 marks total
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
2. Departmental Interview & Assessment:
   • Marks: 25
   • Date: 23 June 2025
3. Final Merit List: Based on the aggregate of CBT + Interview marks
