​The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced the BSSC Sub Statistical Officer Recruitment 2025, offering 682 vacancies for the positions of Sub Statistical Officer (SSO) and Block Statistical Officer (BSO). The BSSC Recruitment Notification 2025 is released on 11 March 2025, and the online application process will be open from 1st April 2025 to 21st April 2025.

BSSC Sub-Statistical Officer Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 682 vacant posts under the BSSC Recruitment Notification 2025 for the following categories:

BSSC Sub/Block Statistical Officer Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their graduation in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized university. Those who have taken these subjects as subsidiary (optional) subjects along with their graduation degree are also eligible.

Age Limit (as of 1st August 2024):

Minimum Age: 21 years

Maximum Age:

• General (Male): 37 years​
• General (Female) and OBC/EBC (Male/Female): 40 years​
• SC/ST (Male/Female): 42 years

​BSSC Sub/Block Statistical Officer Selection Process:

The selection process comprises:​

1. Written Examination: 150 marks; exam duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.​

2. Experience Evaluation: up to a maximum of 25 marks

BSSC SSO/BSO Recruitment 2025 Application Fee:

• General/BC/EBC Candidates: ₹540/-
• SC/ST/PH Candidates: ₹135/-​
• All Category Female Candidates of Bihar: ₹135/-​
• Other State (All Categories): ₹540/-
