The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has advertised 100 Forest Section Officer (FSO) jobs in its APPSC Recruitment 2025 Notification. The APPSC Forest Section Officer (FSO) 2025 Notification was published on July 28, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online for APPSC Forest Officer posts between July 28 and August 17, 2025.

APPSC Forest Section Officer Vacancy 2025 Details:

The APPSC FSO Notification 2025 invites applications for a total of 100 vacancies across the following categories:

• Fresh / New Posts: 70
• Carry‑forward Vacancies: 30

APPSC FSO 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the APPSC Forest Section Officer Vacancy 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:
  Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Horticulture, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Agriculture OR
  Engineering degrees in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical branch

Age Limit (as of 01 July 2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

APPSC FSO 2025 Physical Standards:

Physical Endurance (Walking Test)

• Men: 25 km in 4 hours
• Women: 16 km in 4 hours

APPSC FSO Selection Process:

The selection process for a Forest Section Officer consists of the following stages:

1. Screening Test

2. Main Written Examination

3. Physical Tests (Walking Test & Medical Exam)

4. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

5. Final Merit List

APPSC FSO 2025 Exam Pattern:

The following is the complete APPSC Forest Section Officer Exam Pattern 2025 (screening test):

• Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
• Total Duration: 150 minutes
• Total Marks: 150

Sectional Distribution:

• Part A: General Studies, Mental Ability, Mathematics (75 questions – 75 marks)
• Part B: General Forestry (75 questions – 75 marks)

APPSC FSO Application Form 2025 Fee:

• For all candidates: ₹330/- (250 + 80)
• For SC/ST /Ex-Servicemen:  ₹250/-
