Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Age Limit: 18-27 years (age relaxation as per government norms).

Nationality/Citizenship:

Eligible Candidates:

  • (a) Citizen of India
  • (b) Subject of Nepal
  • (c) Subject of Bhutan
  • (d) Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) to permanently settle in India.

Certificate of Eligibility: Candidates from categories (b), ©, and (d) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Examination Admission: Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility may be admitted to the examination, but the appointment will be offered only after the certificate is issued.

BRO Posts: Only male candidates are eligible for posts in the Border Roads Organization (BRO). Candidates must meet physical, medical, and educational standards for these posts.
