The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). - Pay Level – 1 (₹18,000 to ₹56,900) for Sepoy in NCB

Selection Process for Recruitment
The selection process for this recruitment will be conducted in multiple stages as outlined below:
1. Recruitment Stages:
The recruitment process includes the following stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Medical Examination (DME/RME)
- Document Verification (DV)
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
Candidates must achieve the following minimum qualifying marks in the Computer-Based Examination to be considered for the next stages (PST/PET):
- Unreserved (UR): 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- All Other Categories: 20%
3. NCC Bonus Marks:
NCC Certificate holders will receive additional bonus marks added to their normalized scores:
- NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 5% of maximum marks
- NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 3% of maximum marks
- NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 2% of maximum marks
4. Shortlisting for PST/PET:
Candidates will be shortlisted state-wise, area-wise, and category-wise based on merit from the Computer-Based Examination, including any NCC bonus marks. The number of candidates shortlisted for PST/PET will be approximately 8 times the number of vacancies.
5. PST/PET Success:
Candidates who pass the PST/PET will be eligible for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV). Shortlisting for DME/DV will be about 2 times the number of vacancies based on merit, including any NCC bonus marks.
6. Document Verification (DV):
During DV, candidates must present their eligibility certificates and documents for verification against the originals. Failure to produce a valid NCC Certificate, if claimed, will result in withdrawal of the bonus marks.
7. Preference for CAPFs/Organizations:
Candidates must provide preferences for the following CAPFs/Organizations in the Online Application Form:
- BSF
- CISF
- CRPF
- SSB
- ITBP
- Assam Rifles
- NCB
- SSF
No requests for changes in preferences will be entertained after submission of the Online Application Form.
8. Final Merit List and Selection:
Final selection will be based on the normalized marks from the Computer-Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks) and the preference for CAPFs/Organizations. The final merit list will be compiled separately for each category and gender, and selections will be made in the order of merit and preferences.
9. Domicile and Preferences:
Candidates will be considered for vacancies based on the domicile information provided in the Online Application Form. Ensure accuracy in filling out domicile details as no changes will be permitted after submission.
10. Reserved and Unreserved Vacancies:
Candidates selected based on merit will be accommodated against unreserved vacancies, while reserved vacancies will be filled from eligible SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and ESM candidates.
11. Naxal/Militancy and Border Areas:
Candidates from naxal/militancy-affected areas will be considered first for such vacancies, followed by general area vacancies. Similarly, border area candidates will be prioritized for border area vacancies.
12. Eligibility and Provisional Admission:
All admissions are provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions. Failure to meet eligibility criteria at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.
13. Post-Selection Communication:
If selected, candidates who do not receive communication within one year of the final result declaration should contact the concerned CAPF/Organization.
