Selection Process for SSC CHSLE 2024
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE) 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who have completed their 12th standard and are looking for stable government jobs.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- All other categories: 20%
Selection Process:
Tier-I Examination:
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on their performance in Tier-I.
- Normalized scores will be used to determine merit and final selection.
- Separate category-wise cut-offs may be applied for different posts.
Tier-II Examination:
- All candidates qualified in Tier-I will appear in Tier-II.
- It is mandatory to qualify all sections in Tier-II.
- Based on aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation of Section-III.
- Section-III is qualifying in nature (Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test).
Post Preferences:
- Preferences for various posts and departments will be taken through an Online Option Form before the final result.
- Candidates must carefully exercise their options as they will be treated as final and irreversible.
Merit List:
- Prepared based on overall performance in Tier-II (Section-I & Section-II) subject to qualifying Section-III.
- Final selection will be based on overall performance in Tier-II and post preferences.
Important Notes:
- Candidates who do not submit their post preferences within the stipulated time will not be considered for any post in the final result.
- Requests for changes in post preferences will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Final Allotment:
- Merit-cum-Preferences: The final allotment of posts is based on merit and the preferences given by candidates. Once a post is allotted, no changes will be made due to non-fulfillment of specific requirements (physical, medical, educational).
- Post-Specific Requirements: If a candidate fails to meet the standards for a preferred post, their candidature will be rejected without consideration for other preferences.
Result Declaration:
- Single Declaration: The result will be declared only once. No further nominations will be made if candidates do not join after Document Verification.
- Carrying Forward Vacancies: Departments may carry forward vacancies as per rules if candidates do not join.
Reservation and Merit:
- Unreserved Vacancies: SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ESM, and PwBD candidates selected on their own merit will be adjusted against unreserved vacancies.
- Reserved Vacancies: Reserved vacancies will be filled separately from eligible candidates of respective categories.
Ex-Servicemen and PwBD Candidates:
- Age Relaxation: Military service deduction for ex-servicemen and 10-year upper age limit relaxation for PwBD candidates will not be considered as relaxed standards.
- Unreserved Vacancies: PwBD candidates selected on merit can be appointed against unreserved vacancies if the post is suitable.
Eligibility and Appointment:
- Provisional Admission: Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility conditions. Admission at all stages is provisional, and subject to verification.
- Probation Period: Appointed candidates will be on probation for two years, during which they must undergo training or pass exams as prescribed.
- All India Service Liability (AISL): Candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India.
- State/UT/Zone Allotment: Candidates may be required to acquire proficiency in the local language of the allotted State/UT/Zone.
Representation and Grievances:
- Cut-off Marks: Candidates scoring above cut-off marks but not qualified for subsequent stages must represent the Regional Office.
