Indian Navy Agniveer SSR and MR Selection Process
The selection process for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR and Agniveer MR positions involves multiple stages designed to assess candidates’ suitability for service in the Indian Navy. Here are the key stages:
Stage 1: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)
- Purpose: Shortlisting candidates for further stages.
- Exam Format: Objective type questions covering subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, and General Awareness.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Total Questions: 100.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer, 0.25 marks deduction for each incorrect answer.
Stage 2: Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Medical Examination
- Written Examination: Conducted for candidates who qualify INET. It assesses candidates’ knowledge and aptitude.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Evaluates candidates’ endurance, strength, and agility through activities such as a 1.6 km run, push-ups, and sit-ups.
- Medical Examination: Ensures candidates meet the necessary health standards to serve effectively in the Indian Navy.
Stage 3: Final Merit List
- Criteria: Based on overall performance in the written examination, PFT, and medical examination.
- Selection: Candidates who clear all stages and score highest in the merit list will be selected.
