The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) Recruitment 2024 involves a well-defined selection process to fill the vacancies for TGT positions in various subjects. Below is the detailed selection process for this recruitment:

  • Eligibility Criteria Verification:
    • Candidates must ensure they meet the required eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications (Bachelor’s degree with relevant subject and B.Ed.), age limits (usually 18 to 42 years), and other criteria as specified in the official recruitment notification.
    • Candidates must have qualified in the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) or the School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) of the relevant subject conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani.
  • Written Examination:
    • The primary stage of the selection process is the written examination. The exam pattern and syllabus are usually specified in the official notification. The written examination typically consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering various topics:
      • General Awareness: Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Haryana GK, etc.
      • Reasoning Ability: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability, etc.
      • Mathematics: Basic Mathematics up to the 10th standard level.
      • English and Hindi Language: Language skills, Grammar, Vocabulary, etc.
      • Relevant Subject Knowledge: Questions related to the subject applied for (e.g., Mathematics, Science, Social Science, etc.)
    • The written test is usually of 90 marks.
  • Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience:
    • An additional 10 marks are awarded based on socio-economic criteria and experience, as per the norms set by the Haryana Government. These marks are distributed as follows:
      • 5 marks if no family member of the candidate is/was a regular employee in any department/board/corporation/company/statutory body/commission/authority of the Government of Haryana or any other State Government or Government of India.
      • 5 marks if the candidate is a widow or the first or second child, and his father had died before attaining 42 years of age, or the father died before the candidate attained 15 years of age.
      • Experience: Up to a maximum of 8 years, where half a mark is awarded for each year of experience. No marks are given for less than six months of experience. The experience must be in the same or a higher post under the Government of Haryana.
  • Document Verification:
    • Candidates who qualify for the written examination will be called for document verification. At this stage, candidates must produce their original documents for verification, including:
      • Educational Certificates and Mark Sheets
      • HTET/STET Certificate
      • Proof of Age (Birth Certificate/Matriculation Certificate)
      • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
      • Haryana Domicile Certificate
      • Any other relevant documents as specified in the recruitment notice
  • Merit List Preparation:
    • The final merit list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination and the marks awarded for socio-economic criteria and experience.
    • Candidates are ranked in the order of merit, and those who rank higher are selected for the TGT positions.
  • Appointment:
    • Selected candidates will receive an appointment letter from the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, specifying their place of posting, terms of employment, and other relevant details.
    • The appointment is subject to medical fitness, verification of character and antecedents, and adherence to the terms and conditions specified by the HSSC.
