Western Railway invites ONLINE applications from eligible Scout & Guide candidates for filling up the following Posts against Scout & Guide Quota for the year 2024-2025:

Overview:

Positions Available:

Level 2: 2 Posts
Location: Anywhere on Western Railway

Level 1: 12 Posts
Location: 2 posts each for BCT, BRC, ADI, RTM, RJT & BVP Divisions

Educational Qualifications:

Level 2:

• Passed 12th or its equivalent with at least 50% marks.
• Note: The 50% marks criteria is not applicable for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD candidates or those with higher qualifications.

Level 1:

• 10th passed or equivalent, or
• ITI, or
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Scouting/Guiding Qualifications:

• A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
• Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years.
• Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways’ level and two events at State level.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2024):

Level 2: 18 to 30 years
Level 1: 18 to 33 years

Application Fee:

• General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refundable if found eligible)
• SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes: ₹250 (refundable if found eligible)

Selection Process:

1. Written Test: Consisting of 40 marks on Scouts & Guides organization and its activities, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
2. Scouting Skill Assessment: 10 marks.
3. Marks on Certificates: 50 marks.
