South Western Railway invites applications in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for recruitment of 03 (Three) posts in Level-2 and 08 (Eight) posts in Level-1 of the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2024-25.

1. Level-2 Positions:
   • Total: 03
   • Locations: South Western Railway (2) and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka (1)
2. Level-1 Positions:
   • Total: 08
   • Locations: Hubballi, Bengaluru, Mysuru (2 each) and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka (2)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• Level-2:
  • Passed 12th (+2 stage) with at least 50% aggregate (not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen or those with higher qualifications like Graduation).
  • OR Matriculation + ITI/Act Apprenticeship for technical posts.
• Level-1:
  • 10th Pass OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT.

Scouts & Guides Qualifications:

• A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
• Active membership in a Scouts organization for the last 5 years (with an Activeness Certificate).
• Participation in at least:
  • 2 national/all-India railways events AND
  • 2 state-level events.

Age Limit:

• Level-2: 18-30 years (as of 01.01.2025).
• Level-1: 18-33 years (as of 01.01.2025).
• Age relaxations as per government norms.

Application Process:

1. Format: Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format on A4-sized paper.
2. Language: Fill in English, Hindi, or Kannada.
3. Submission:
   • Level-2 Applications:
     • Address: Assistant Personnel Officer/HQ, South Western Railway-HQ Office, Rail Soudha, Gadag Road, Hubballi-580020.
     • Superscribe: “Application for posts in Level-2 against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2024-25.”
   • Level-1 Applications:
     • Same address as above.
     • Superscribe: “Application for posts in Level-1 against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2024-25.”

Deadline:

• Applications must reach by 17:45 hours, 09.12.2024.
• For specified remote regions, the extended deadline is 24.12.2024.

Selection Process:

1. Written Test (60 Marks):
   • Objective (40 marks) and Essay-based questions (20 marks) on Scouts & Guides knowledge and general awareness.
2. Certificates Verification (40 Marks):
   • National, state, and district-level participation and achievements.

Application Fee:

• General: ₹500 (₹400 refundable for appearing candidates).
• SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes: ₹250 (fully refundable).
