RRC South Western Railway Cultural Quota Recruitment 2024

South Western Railway invites applications in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for recruitment of 02 posts in Level-2 of the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 against Cultural Quota for the year 2024-25.

Overview:

Available Positions:

1. Classical Hindustani Vocalist (Male) – 01 Post
2. Classical Bharatanatyam Dancer (Female) – 01 Post

Educational & Professional Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• 12th (+2 stage) with 50% aggregate marks (relaxation for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen).
• OR Matriculation plus ITI/Apprenticeship in relevant technical fields.

Professional Qualification:

• Hindustani Vocalist: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Music (Classical – Hindustani Vocal) from a recognized institute.
• Bharatanatyam Dancer: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Dance (Classical – Bharatanatyam) from a recognized institute.

Desirable:

• Experience in performing on platforms like All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan, etc.
• National-level awards or recognitions.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Railway employees, and candidates from Jammu & Kashmir as per government norms.

Application Process:

1. Fee:

• General: ₹500 (Refund of ₹400 upon attendance in the selection).
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/EBC: ₹250 (Refundable upon attendance).
• Payment via Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favor of Assistant Personnel Officer/HQ, South Western Railway, Hubballi.

2. Submission:

• Fill out the application in the prescribed format (Annexure I & II).
• Applications must be sent via ordinary post to:
  Assistant Personnel Officer/HQ., South Western Railway- HQ Office, Personnel Department, Rail Soudha, Gadag Road, Hubballi-580020.
• The envelope must be super-scribed with “Application for Group ‘C’ post in Level-2 against Cultural Quota for 2024-25.”
• Deadline: 28.10.2024 (17.45 hours)
• Extended deadline for remote areas: 13.11.2024

Selection Process:

1. Written Test (Objective): 50 marks
2. Practical Demonstration: 35 marks
3. Evaluation of Prizes & Achievements: 15 marks

• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • UR: 40%
  • SC/OBC: 30%
  • ST: 25%

General Conditions:

• Candidates must meet medical fitness requirements.
• No TA/DA will be provided for the written test or practical demonstration.
• Selected candidates will undergo a 5-year service bond.
