South Eastern Railway invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for engagement as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. This program provides technical training in various trades across multiple locations.

Overview:

Vacancy Details:

A total of 1785 slots are available across different trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Painter, Carpenter, and others, distributed across multiple workshops and depots.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age Limit:

• Minimum: 15 years
• Maximum: 24 years (as of January 1, 2025)
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation based on service duration.

2. Educational Qualifications:

• Matriculation (10th) under the 10+2 system with at least 50% aggregate marks (excluding additional subjects).
• ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade, certified by NCVT/SCVT.

3. Medical Fitness:

• Applicants must meet the prescribed medical standards, certified by a Railway Medical Officer.

Selection Process:

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting:
   • Based on marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI.
   • Older candidates will be prioritized in case of a tie.
2. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisted candidates will undergo verification of documents and medical fitness evaluation.

• General/OBC: ₹100 (non-refundable)
• SC/ST/PWD/Women: No fee
• Payment Mode: Online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or e-Wallets.
