The Railway Recruitment Cell of South Central Railway (SCR) has announced 61 sports quota vacancies for 2024-25, open from January 4 to February 3, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years as of January 1, 2025.
• Maximum Age: 25 years as of January 1, 2025.
• Date of Birth Range: Born between January 2, 2000 and January 1, 2007.
• No Relaxation: No upper or lower age limit relaxation for any category.

2. Educational Qualifications

• For Grade Pay ₹1800 (Level 1):
  • Minimum Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
• For Grade Pay ₹1900/2000 (Level 2/3):
  • Minimum Qualification: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination.

3. Sports Achievements

• Grade Pay ₹1900/2000 (Level 2/3):
  • Represented the country in Category-B championships/events.
  • Achieved at least 3rd position in Category-C championships/events or Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
  • Achieved at least 3rd position in National Games under the Indian Olympic Association.
  • Achieved at least 3rd position in All India Inter-University Championships under the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Secured 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
• Grade Pay ₹1800 (Level 1):
  • Represented the country in any Category-C championships/events.
  • Achieved at least 3rd position in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category).
  • Represented a state/unit in Senior National Championships (except Marathon and Cross Country) with at least 8th position.

4. Sports Achievements Validity

• Only achievements attained on or after April 1, 2022, will be considered.
• The sportsperson must be an active player as of the application date.

Salary & Benefits:

Pay Scale:

• Grade Pay ₹2000/1900 (Level 3/2): ₹5,200–20,200 + allowances.
• Grade Pay ₹1800 (Level 1): ₹5,200–20,200 + allowances.

Selection Process:

• Document Verification: Initial check of applications by the scrutiny committee.
• Sports Trials: Evaluation based on game skills, physical fitness, and coach’s observations (40 marks).
  • FIT: Scoring 25+ marks.
  • NOT FIT: Below 25 marks.
• Assessment of Achievements: Sports achievements and educational qualifications assessed for FIT candidates (60 marks).
• Merit List: Finalized based on total marks (out of 100).
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 65 for Pay Level 3; 60 for Levels 2 and 1.
• Appointment: Based on merit and meeting all criteria, including a medical examination.

• General candidates (₹400 refunded post-trials if not disqualified): ₹500 
• SC/ST/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward (fully refunded post-trials if not disqualified): ₹250
