RRC CR Engagement of Act Apprentices Recruitment 2024

Central Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The training will be provided in designated trades at various Workshops/Units within the jurisdiction of Central Railway.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Must possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

2. Age Limit:

• Minimum: 15 years
• Maximum: 24 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Selection Process:

• Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation and ITI.
• In case of a tie, the candidate with an earlier date of birth will be considered.
• Document verification will be conducted in the opted Divisions/Units as per the clusters mentioned in the application.
