Posts of Clerks and Driver at the Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Rohtak (Adhoc Basis)

The Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Rohtak, invites applications for the recruitment of 21 Clerks and 1 Driver on a purely adhoc basis. These positions are offered at a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,500 per month for a period of six months or until regular appointments are made by the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Clerk:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science or its equivalent from a recognized university.
   • Must have passed the matriculation examination with Hindi as one of the subjects.
2. Examination:
   • Written test comprising:
     • English Composition: 50 marks (33% qualifying marks)
     • General Knowledge: 50 marks (33% qualifying marks)
   • A minimum of 40% aggregate marks is required for selection.
   • Candidates must demonstrate computer proficiency in Word and Spreadsheet operations.
   • Computer Typing Test: A typing speed of 30 w.p.m is required.

For Driver:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Minimum of middle school pass with Punjabi/Hindi as one of the subjects.
2. Other Requirements:
   • Must possess a valid Light Transport Vehicle (L.T.V.) driving license.
   • Should have a minimum of two years of driving experience.
   • Must not have any conviction for negligent driving.

Age Limit:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 42 years (as of 01.01.2024)
• Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per the rules of the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh and the Haryana Government.

• Deadline for Submission: Applications must be submitted by 14.10.2024 up to 5:00 pm either by post or in person. Applications received after the deadline or through email will not be accepted.
