The Population Research Centre at Patna University is recruiting for 03 Posts of Research Investigator and Research Fellow-I on a contractual/ regular basis. The post of Research Investigator requires a Master’s degree in the relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in research, while the post of Research Fellow-1 requires a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience.

1. Research Investigator:- Monthly Pay: Pay level 7

2. Research Fellow-I:- Monthly Pay: Rs. 28,000/- (Consolidated)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Research Investigator:

Qualifications:

• 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, Geography, or similar from a recognized institution/university.
• Knowledge of computer applications.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in data collection, analysis, and report writing. (Relaxable for candidates with higher qualifications).

2. Research Fellow-I:

Qualifications: 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, or Public Health.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience (relaxable in deserving cases).

Age Limit: 21 to 37 years (Age relaxation as per Bihar Government norms).

Selection Process:

The selection process for Population Research Center Recruitment 2025 will be based on the merit and experience of the candidates. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may be called for interview. The university reserves the right to shortlist applicants in case of high number of candidates. It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee an interview call.
