POWERGRID Energy Services Limited (PESL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, is a prominent player in the power transmission sector. Established in August 2022, PESL undertakes various critical projects such as Solar PV Plants, Automated Metering Infrastructure, and offers consultancy services. PESL is actively involved in government initiatives, providing services under schemes like RDSS and PMDP, and international consultancy in countries like Nepal.

POWERGRID is looking for bright and energetic Engineering Graduates to join PESL as Trainee Engineers (Electrical). This role involves supporting various power sector projects, including those related to renewable energy and automated infrastructure.

Position Details:

Position Name: Trainee Engineer (Electrical)

Vacancies: 47 total

• Categories include UR, EWS, OBC (NCL), SC, ST
• Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) available

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Relevant disciplines: Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical & Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, Power Engineering (Electrical).

2. GATE 2024 Requirement:

• Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE 2024.

3. Age Limit:

• Maximum age of 28 years as of 6th November 2024.
• Age relaxations apply for OBC, SC/ST, PwBD, and other categories as per Government of India directives.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes:

• GATE 2024 Score: 85% weightage
• Group Discussion: 3% weightage
• Personal Interview: 12% weightage
• Candidates need to qualify in both GATE and the personal interview.

Training and Pay Scale:

• Training Duration: 1 year
• Stipend During Training: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 with allowances
• Post-Training Designation: Assistant Engineer at E0 level

Service Agreement Bond:

• Candidates will be required to sign a service bond of ₹5,00,000 for General/OBC candidates and ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates to serve the organization for at least three years after successful completion of training.
