POWERGRID, a ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, coordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State Transmission System.

Position: Engineer Trainee

Disciplines: Electrical, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science

Vacancies:

• Electrical: 128 (POWERGRID: 109, CTUIL: 19)
• Civil: 28 (POWERGRID)
• Electronics: 6 (POWERGRID: 2, CTUIL: 4)
• Computer Science: 6 (POWERGRID)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Full-Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in the relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

GATE 2023: Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023.

• Civil: CE
• Electronics: EC
• Computer Science: CS

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as of 31.12.2022.

Reservation:

• Reservations for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process:

1. GATE 2023 Score: Shortlisting based on GATE 2023 performance.
2. Group Discussion (GD): Candidates shortlisted from GATE scores will be called for GD.
3. Personal Interview (PI): Final selection based on GATE score, GD, and PI.

Salary and Benefits:

• Training Period: One year
• Stipend: During training, a stipend of ₹60,000/- per month.
• Post Training: Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the E2 scale (₹60,000 – 1,80,000).
