It operates around 1,76,109 ckm Transmission Lines along with 275 Substations and wheels about 50% of the total power generated in the country through its transmission networks. POWERGRID also owns and operates around 82,294 km of telecom network.
POWERGRID requires bright, committed, and energetic Diploma engineers to be inducted as Diploma Trainees (DT) in Electrical (EE), Civil (CE), and Electronics (EC) disciplines under the regional recruitment scheme for its various regions/Corporate Telecom Department.

Essential Qualifications:
- Discipline: Electrical (EE), Civil (CE), Electronics (EC)
- Educational Qualification: Full-Time Regular Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Civil Engineering with a minimum of 70% marks in relevant discipline from a recognized Technical Board/Institute.
