OSSSC TGT Arts Recruitment 2024

Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 29 vacant posts.

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Pay Level 9)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification (as of application closing date):

1. Essential Qualification:
   • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university.
   • OR, Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE regulations.
   • OR, Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. degree.
   • Candidate must have passed Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET).
2. Language Proficiency:
   • Must have passed Odia as a language subject up to 10th standard.
3. Desirable Qualification:
   • Experience in teaching and knowledge of the CBSE/ICSE curriculum will be an added advantage.

Age Limit (as of the application closing date):

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/SEBC/Women: 5 years
  • PwD: 10 years

Selection Process:

1. Written Examination:
   • Objective-type questions covering the following:
     • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
     • Arts and Humanities Subjects
     • Pedagogy and Teaching Methodologies
2. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisted candidates will undergo a verification process to validate their eligibility.
3. Merit List:
   • Final selection will be based on performance in the written examination and document verification.

How to Apply:

1. Online Registration:
   • Visit the OSSSC official website: www.osssc.gov.in.
   • Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process if not already done.
2. Fill Application Form:
   • Log in using your OTR credentials and complete the application form for TGT Arts Recruitment.
3. Upload Documents:
   • Scanned copies of:
     • Recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
     • Educational qualification certificates and marksheets.
     • Proof of age and category (if applicable).
4. Fee Payment:
   • No need to make online payment as fee is nil.
5. Final Submission:
   • Review the form and submit the application. Save a copy for future reference.

2. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be accepted.
3. Admit cards must be downloaded from the OSSSC website before the examination.
