The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released Advertisement No. IIE-25/2025-1744/OSSC, dated April 3, 2025, announcing the Combined Recruitment Examination (CRE) for Junior Stenographer and Junior Grade Typist-2025. Eligible candidates can apply online for the OSSC Junior Stenographer vacancy from April 04, 2025, to May 06, 2025.

OSSC Junior Stenographer Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 74 vacant posts under the OSSC Recruitment 2025 Notification for the following categories:

• Junior Stenographer: 67

• Junior Grade Typist: 07

OSSC Junior Stenographer & Typist Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for Junior Stenographer and Junior Grade Typist, candidates should possess the following:

Educational Qualification:

Junior Stenographer:

• HSC Examination with ITI (Stenography), Certificate on Basic Computer Skill or
• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum speed of 80 words per minute or
• 12th passed Arts/Science/Commerce with a minimum speed of 80 words per minute based on the position applied for.

Junior Grade Typist:

• HSC Examination with ITI (Stenography), Certificate on Basic Computer Skill or
• 12th passed Arts/Science/Commerce with a minimum speed of 40 & 20 words per minute in English & Odia, respectively.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):

• Maximum Age: 32 years
• Minimum Age: 18-21, depend on position

OSSC Junior Stenographer & Typist Selection Process:

• Preliminary Examination: 150 marks​

• Main Written Examination: 100 marks​

• Skill Test: Shorthand and typing tests to assess stenography skills- 50 marks​
