- Salary Range: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 per month.
- Grade Pay: ₹4,200.
- Pay Level: Level-9 as per the Pay Matrix.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Educational Qualification:
- Sub-Inspector of Police & Assistant Jailor: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Station Officer (Fire Service): Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering from a recognized university.
2. Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years as of January 1, 2024.
- Maximum Age: 25 years as of January 1, 2024.
3. Physical Standards:
- Men:
- Height: Minimum 168 cm.
- Weight: Minimum 55 kg.
- Chest: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded) (General & SEBC categories).
- Women:
- Height: Minimum 155 cm.
- Weight: Minimum 47.5 kg.
4. Physical Efficiency Tests:
- Men: Must run 1.6 km within a specific time and perform tasks like long jump, cross-country run, and swimming for specific posts.
- Women: Must run 1.2 km within a set time along with other physical tasks.
5. Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Odisha language is mandatory.
Selection Process:
- Written Test: Includes General English, Odia Language, General Studies, and a Technical Paper (for Station Officer).
- Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List: Based on written exam and physical tests.
