Introduction to NTA NCET Examination
The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the guidance of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It is an entrance exam for candidates seeking admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the 2025-26 academic session. This dual-major program includes Education with Specific Stage Specialization and a second major in an opted discipline.
The NCET 2025 will be conducted in 178 cities across India in computer-based test (CBT) mode. Candidates can apply online within the given dates and prepare for the exam according to the prescribed syllabus.

NTA NCET Examination Selection Process
The selection process for NCET 2025 consists of the following steps:
- Online Registration & Application Submission – Candidates must apply online through the official NTA website before the deadline.
- Admit Card Download – Admit cards will be available 3-4 days before the exam.
- NCET 2025 Examination – The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Mode (CBT).
- Answer Key & Response Sheet – Candidates can check their responses and raise objections if necessary.
- Result Declaration – Final results will be available on the NTA website.
- Counseling & Admission – Qualified candidates will participate in the University/Institution-specific counseling process.
