NMC Zonal Leader & Security Assistant Recruitment 2025

Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 76 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Domicile:

• • Candidates must hold a valid Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra and be proficient in Marathi language.

2. Qualification: 

• Security Assistant: Retired Sepoy/Naik Havildar (Army) or equivalent ranks in Navy/Air Force
• Squad Zonal Leader: Retired Subedar/Naib Subedar (Army) or equivalent ranks in Navy/Air Force

3. Service Requirements:

• • Minimum of 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of India.

4. Documents Required:

• • • Certified copy of Discharge Book issued by the Defense Department.
    • Pension Payment Order (PPO).
    • Two recent passport-size photographs.

5. Medical Fitness:

• Candidates must be in good health without serious chronic ailments or physical deformities.
• Medical category should conform to SHAPE-1 standards as per Defense norms.

6. Age Limit:

• Squad Zonal Leader:
  • Maximum age: 50 years (Born on or after 28/01/1975).
• Security Assistant:
  • Maximum age: 45 years (Born on or after 28/01/1980).

1. How to Apply:
   • Download the prescribed application form from NMC’s Official Website.
   • Submit the completed application form with all necessary documents at:
     Old Administrative Building, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
2. Application Submission Date:
   • 28th January 2025 (between 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
3. Interview Dates:
   • 30th January 2025 and 31st January 2025 (from 9:30 AM onwards).
4. Interview Schedule Announcement:
   • The schedule will be displayed on the NMC website on 29th January 2025.

General Instructions:

1. The Municipal Commissioner will have the final authority in case of disputes during the shortlisting process.
2. Selected candidates must join immediately and comply with contractual terms.
3. The recruitment process is purely contractual and does not guarantee permanent employment.
