NIT Sikkim Non-Teaching Position Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 33 vacant posts under the following categories:

NIT Sikkim Non-Teaching Position Eligibility Criteria:

1. Registrar

• Age Limit: Maximum 56 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in UGC 7-point scale.
• Experience:
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic administration, out of which 8 years in a senior administrative position (Comparable to Deputy Registrar or above).

2. Assistant Librarian

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
  • Qualified in NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. in Library Science.

3. Technical Assistant (TA) / Junior Engineer

• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • For Technical Assistant:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) or Diploma (3 years) in Engineering in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • For Junior Engineer (JE):
    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma (3 years) in relevant engineering discipline with at least 60% marks.

4. Superintendent

• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • First-class Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university.

5. Senior Technician

• Age Limit: Maximum 33 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science and 60% marks OR
  • 10+2 with 50% marks + ITI Certificate (1+ year) OR
  • Secondary (10th) with 60% marks + ITI Certificate (2 years) OR
  • Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in a relevant field.

6. Senior Assistant

• Age Limit: Maximum 33 years
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

7. Stenographer

• Age Limit: Maximum 27 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.
  • Skill Test:
    • Typing speed of 80 WPM in Stenography.
    • 35 WPM in English / 30 WPM in Hindi Typing (on a computer).

8. Technician

• Age Limit: Maximum 27 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • 10+2 with Science and 60% marks OR
  • 10+2 with 50% marks + ITI (1+ year) OR
  • 10th with 60% marks + ITI (2 years) OR
  • Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in relevant fields.

9. Junior Assistant

• Age Limit: Maximum 27 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.

10. Office Attendant / Lab Attendant

• Age Limit: Maximum 27 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Matriculation (10th) or ITI pass.

NIT Sikkim Non-Teaching Position Selection Process:

• Scrutiny of Applications – Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility.
• Written Test / Trade Test / Skill Test – As per recruitment rules.
• Final Selection – Based on merit and performance in the tests.

• Candidates must fill the prescribed application form and attach all self-attested supporting documents (Educational Certificates, Experience Certificates, Category Certificates, etc.).
• Forms can be downloaded from the NIT Sikkim official website.

Step 2: Send the Hard Copy

• Send the completed application along with supporting documents to: The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Ravangla, District – Namchi, Sikkim – 737139 (India).
