NIMCET 2025 Exam

NIMCET 2025 (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, for admission into the MCA (Master of Computer Applications) programs at 11 NITs and 2 IIITs across India. Eligible candidates can apply online from April 17, 2025, to May 16, 2025. The NIMCET 2025 Exam will be held on June 8, 2025.

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test 2025 Overview:

NIMCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test 2025, candidates should possess the following:

• Must be an Indian citizen with:
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD) in:
    • A 3-year UG degree with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects, OR
    • A B.E./B.Tech. degree
• Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying exams can also apply.

Age limit:

• There is no age restriction to appear for the NIMCET 2025 examination.

NIMCET 2025 Participating Institutes:

• NITs: Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Meghalaya, Patna, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal

• IIITs: IIIT Bhopal, IIIT Vadodara (including International Campus – Diu)

NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern:

• Duration: 2 Hours
• Total Questions: 120
• Total Marks: 1000
• Language: English
• Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.

Sections:

• Mathematics: 50 Questions (600 Marks)
• Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions (240 Marks)
• Computer Awareness: 20 Questions (120 Marks)
• General English: 10 Questions (40 Marks)

NIMCET 2025 Application Form Fee:

• ₹2500 for General/OBC/EWS

• ₹1250 for SC/ST/PwD
