NIIST Recruitment 2025: The CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram is inviting applications from eligible candidates for 20 posts of Technical Assistant, Junior Stenographer, and Others. Applications are invited for a total of 20 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

(1) Technical Assistant:

• Qualification: Diploma or B.Sc in relevant disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Chemistry with a minimum of 60% marks, and 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Age Limit: 28 Years

(2) Technician (1):

• Qualifications: SSC/10th standard with Science subjects and ITI certification in trades like Draughtsman, Computer Operator, Laboratory Assistant, etc.
• Age Limit: 28 Years

(3) Junior Stenographer:

• Qualifications: 10+2 with proficiency in stenography.
• Age Limit: 27 Years

(4) Junior Secretariat Assistant (General, F&A, S&P):

• Qualifications: 10+2 with computer typing speed and proficiency in computer use.
• Age Limit: 28 Years

(5) Junior Hindi Translator:

• Qualifications: Master’s degree in Hindi or English, along with proficiency in translation.
• Age Limit: 30 Years

Selection Process:

• Proficiency Test in Stenography

How to Apply:

• Online Application:
  • Visit the CSIR-NIIST website between 01.02.2025 (9:00 AM) and 03.03.2025 (5:30 PM) to fill out the online application form. No other mode of application will be accepted.
• Payment of Application Fee:
  • A fee of Rs. 500/- is required for Unreserved/OBC/EWS candidates, payable via the SBI Collect link provided in the online application form.
  • No fee is required for Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and regular CSIR employees.
  • Ensure to fill in transaction details in the online form. Fees paid through other modes won’t be accepted​.
• Submission of Hard Copy:
  • After completing the online form, print it out, sign it, and attach the necessary documents:
    • Proof of application fee payment (if applicable)
    • Recent passport-sized photograph (signed across)
    • Proof of age, educational qualifications, caste/category certificates, experience certificates, and any other relevant documents
    • No Objection Certificate with Vigilance Clearance if you’re employed in a government or public sector body.
  • Place these in an envelope superscribed with “Application for the post of … (Post Code…)”.
  • Administration Controller, CSIR-NIIST, Industrial Property P.O., Thiruvananthapuram 695019, Kerala’ on 14.03.2025.
  • Ensure it reaches by 5:30 PM on 14.03.2025. Late submissions will not be entertained​.
