The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is recruiting for 01 Post of Accounts Officer ‘C’ on a permanent basis at its National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bangalore. The selected candidate will handle financial activities such as budget preparation, bill verification, ensuring legal compliance and conducting audits. Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification with relevant experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• Post Graduate degree in Commerce with subjects like Advanced Accountancy, Auditing, or Taxation, OR
• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) with 60% marks and an Inter-CA or Inter-CMA.
• Candidates must also be proficient in using personal computers and accounting software.

Experience:

• 6 years of experience in a relevant role at Level 7 or 8 (or equivalent).
• Alternatively, candidates with 5 years of experience at Level 6/7/8 (or equivalent) along with a Diploma in Finance and Accounts will also be considered.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with handling government rules and procedures related to finance, procurement, and accounts.
• Knowledge of statutory compliances, income tax, GST, and handling audits.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for candidates is 43 years as of January 1, 2025. However, age relaxations are available as per government norms.

The Accounts Officer ‘C’ position offers a Level 10 pay scale with a basic pay of ₹56,100. Additional allowances will be provided as per central government norms. The selected candidate will also be entitled to other government benefits.

Selection Process:

The selection process for NCBS Recruitment 2025 will take place in two stages:

• Written Test/Preliminary Interview: This will be the first stage where candidates are shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience.
• Main Interview: Only those candidates who perform well in the written test will be called for the main interview.
