The National Museum, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Curator (Anthropology). This Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post is to be filled on a deputation (including short-term contract)/promotion basis.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in one of the following fields:
- Museology or History of Art; OR
- Indian History/Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit/Persian/Arabic/Archaeology/Anthropology/Fine Arts, with a diploma in Museology.
- Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in one of the following fields:
- Experience:
- Five years of experience in a museum of National/Regional importance under the control of the Central/State Government/Union Territories.
- One year of research experience with published research work in the field of Anthropology.
- One year of field experience and practical training in Anthropology.
- Desirable Qualification:
- M.Phil. degree or diploma in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution.
- Age Limit:
- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) should not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of application submission.
- Other Requirements:
- Applicants must provide:
- Integrity Certificate.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
- Confidential Report/APAR dossiers for the last five years.
- Details of any major/minor penalties imposed in the last ten years, if applicable.

Selection Process:
- Mode of Recruitment:
- The position will be filled through Deputation (including short-term contract)/Promotion.
- The deputation period, including the short-term contract, shall not exceed three years.
- Eligibility Scrutiny:
- Applications will be reviewed to ensure candidates meet the essential eligibility criteria regarding qualifications, experience, and other requirements.
- Only eligible and complete applications will be considered.

- Candidates must provide the following mandatory documents:
- Integrity Certificate.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
- Confidential Report (CR)/APAR dossiers for the last five years, duly attested by an officer of the rank of Under Secretary or above.

- Candidates must provide the following mandatory documents:
- Shortlisting:
- Based on the scrutiny of applications and submitted documents, eligible candidates will be shortlisted.
- Selection Panel:
- A selection panel will assess the candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and overall suitability for the role.
- Final Selection:
- The selection committee will make the final decision, and the Administrative Officer will notify the selected candidate.
- The appointment will adhere to the deputation rules under the Central Government.
